The creation of effective and efficient learning environments that on the one hand maximize the learning success of students by tailoring the learning process to the individual learner's needs, goals or knowledge, and on the other hand provide flexible and easy-to-maintain platforms for course designers / teachers to compile a course (authoring, reuse, etc) is a key issue for future, personalized learning. This workshop intends to bring together researchers from various communities like information systems, knowledge representation, information retrieval, e-learning, personalization and education to discuss and envision solutions for future e-learning. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
